3 People Injured After Amid Shooting At Akron, Ohio Show

Boosie popped out to Akron, Ohio, to bless his fans with a club performance on Sunday (March 9). However, things went left mid-show when shots rang out in the club. A now-viral video shows security springing into action to get the rapper to safety. He reportedly didn’t suffer any injuries, but the case is not the same for at least three people.

Shooting At Ohio Club Cuts Boosie’s Performance Short

From the looks of it, Boosie had a full house when he took the stage at Field House Lounge in Akron, OH. The circulating clip shows the rapper dressed in a red hoodie and dark pants. He was cheesing, listening to fans rap his songs, and cheering. All of a sudden, there was a pop. Boosie immediately ducked and then stumbled backward as a security guard snatched him into a bear hug. The video then pivots to a panicked crowd stooping and seeking exits as more shots rang out.

Details On Suspect & Injuries From Lounge Shooting

Akron police are still working to determine a motive for the Field House Lounge shooting, per TMZ. They believe it started with an altercation and escalated while Boosie was on stage. No suspects have been identified aside from gender. At this time, PD also believes the male suspect used a semiautomatic weapon to fire at least two shots. Investigators reportedly collected shell casings at the crime scene and are following up on surveillance footage.

Meanwhile, three people sustained gunshot injuries in the attack. Two men, ages 18 and 36, were in critical condition as of Monday, per Cleveland 19 News. Additionally, a bullet grazed a 25-year-old man. All three have received medical treatment, but their names are not yet public.
