A report has just come out regarding popular AEW star Luchasaurus. It seems like there is a health update on him, and unfortunately, he is set to miss time due to an injury.
The former TNT Champion returned to the promotion in August after missing for almost a year due to a severe health condition. He had a life-threatening case of pneumonia, which he has since recovered from. A month after his return, he reunited with Jack Perry, and the two re-formed Jurassic Express.
The duo has been on a great run since reuniting, and they have even teamed up with The Elite on some occasions. Fightful Select has just reported that Luchasaurus has been dealing with a shoulder injury. He is set to miss time due to this.
At AEW Worlds End last weekend, he was in action as Jurassic Express teamed up with JetSpeed to take on Josh Alexander & The Demand. It seemed like he was dealing with the injury already at the time, as he and Perry were blindsided during the entrance. He needed to be brought backstage to be checked. He returned moments later to help his side win the match, but his shoulder was all wrapped up.
This was a creative way to make sure he didn’t need to be in the ring the whole time. Tonight on Dynamite, it was the same story as he was ringside for Jack Perry’s match with Ricochet. His entire shoulder was wrapped up, and during the contest, he was dragged to the back by Toa Liona so he wouldn’t be a factor.
He made an appearance post-match, as it was shown that Liona had taken him out backstage. They then brutally attacked his shoulder with a guard rail, which is evidence that he was being written off-screen.
